AWANA Club
What is AWANA?
AWANA is a club for boys and girls (ages 3 through 12th grade). Clubbers play games, recite verses, work in their handbook, and hear a message from God’s Word.
The name AWANA comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 and stands for Approved Workmen that Are Not Ashamed.
How do I get my child involved?
Bring your child to Live Oak Baptist Church at 5 PM on Sunday. (August through May) to register your child.
How Parents Can Help
· Encourage regular attendance
· Help and encourage your child to pass sections. (Sparks and T&T clubbers will need to pass at least 2 sections per week to complete their handbook in one club year.)
· Encourage your child to spend 10-15 minutes a day on their handbook.
· Show interest in your child’s accomplishments.
